Who Provides Care?
Health Care Aides are onsite 24 hours a day to provide you with support and personal care. Certified Health Care Aides (HCA) provide most of the hands-on personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, medication assistance and other services to the residents. Professional nursing care is available onsite by an LPN 24-hours a day. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) perform nursing care functions, such as injections, wound dressings, and any other tasks that do not fall within an HCA’s scope of practice. Depending on health needs, scheduled professional care (nursing, rehabilitation therapy, etc) will be provided through the Saskatchewan Health Authority Case Manager. Sask Health provides Health Care Professionals for case management. The Case Manager, in collaboration with our Clinical Director, will develop the plan of care to meet the resident’s individual needs and oversee the implementation and evaluation of the plan. On Call services by Registered Nurses is provided by the Saskatchewan Health Authority Case Manager. Your family and other informal caregivers are important members of your care team and are welcome to participate in your care.
