Food & Games, Arts & Crafts

Our Wellness and Recreation Department is second to none. Under the watchful guidance of the Recreation Supervisor and Rec Therapist, our residents are given the daily opportunity to exercise the body, mind and spirit. We also make sure everyone has time to enjoy a coffee and a visit with a friend.

A tuck-shop called “"Shoppers Cart” is operated by the Pioneer Auxiliary offering convenience to purchase toiletries, specialty items, ordered fruit, etc., without leaving the facility on a cold blustery day.

Residents can also arrange on-site services with Pioneer contractors for hair salon services, massage, physical therapy, assisted bathing, footcare, medication assist, etc.

What is Functional Independence?

Operating strictly under the Alberta Housing Act, Pioneer Lodge has no medically trained individuals on staff. Our local Home Care (SASK Health) is contracted by AB Health to provide scheduled care services to residents, a great support on-site in the Pioneer community. We cultivate a close relationship with Homecare towards the primary goal of ensuring residents are well and enjoying the highest personally attainable quality of life. Contact the Pioneer Lodge care planner through the Lloydminster Homecare office to see if there are additional supports available that fit your needs.
