Welcome Home

Pioneer Lodge has been providing home comforts through supportive living for over 60 years. Since 1960, it has served as a welcoming destination for independent seniors seeking a balance of autonomy and assistance in daily life.

Residents of Pioneer Lodge enjoy the freedom and flexibility of independent living, with added support for tasks such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry. This allows individuals to focus on what matters most—spending their time how they choose, participating in community activities, and enjoying meaningful connections.

Seniors aged 65 and older are welcome to apply for residency. If additional health support is needed, residents can access Home Care services through the Saskatchewan Health Authority to determine if supportive services are a good fit.

What is Funcational Independence?

Operating strictly under the Alberta Housing Act, Pioneer Lodge has no medically trained individuals on staff. Our local Home Care (SASK Health) is contracted by AB Health to provide scheduled care services to residents, a great support on-site in the Pioneer community. We cultivate a close relationship with Homecare towards the primary goal of ensuring residents are well and enjoying the highest personally attainable quality of life. Contact the Pioneer Lodge care planner through the Lloydminster Homecare office to see if there are additional supports available that fit your needs.

Wellness and Recreation Department is second to none. Residents are given the daily opportunity to exercise the body, mind and spirit. We also make sure everyone has time to enjoy a coffee and a visit with a friend.

The 'Shoppers Cart' tuck shop, operated by the Pioneer auxiliary, offers residents convenient access to toiletries, specialty items, and pre-ordered fruit. This valued service ensures that residents can purchase essentials without having to leave the comfort of the community, especially on cold or blustery days.

Residents can arrange on-site services with Pioneer contractors when available, including hair salon services, physical therapy, assisted bathing, foot care, medication assistance, and more. Availability of specific services may vary, so please check with the front desk for current offerings.

If this reduction is not sufficient, we will work with residents to explore further assistance, ensuring they have enough for personal necessities such as medication or Home Care services.
