One Monthly Cost.

Rates are set by ALBERTA Health Services and generally increase once a year on July 1st. Pioneer House currently charges the resident monthly at $2,200. This rent cost covers general supportive care, meals, housekeeping, linen and towels change, building amenities and some recreation programming.

If you are in a situation where your spouse needs supportive living but you do not, you might choose to reside in the same spacious suite comfortably for an additional occupant monthly cost of $735.

Pioneer Lodge & House supports keeping spouses together and will work with you to find a solution that best fits both of your needs.

Optional Costs.

The individual provides or pays for room furnishings, medication, medical and surgical supplies for chronic wounds, personal medical equipment and incontinence products (cost may be shared with Alberta Aids to Daily Living depending on finances), cable, phone and internet, personal laundry, hair salon fees, toiletries, and outings.

Additional support toward the cost of some appliances, and specific health and personal supports can be found through Seniors Financial Assistance programs | Alberta.ca.

Financial Support.

Alberta provides great support for those in need. The Supplementary Accommodation Benefit provides financial assistance to eligible seniors with low-income who reside in a designated supportive living facility like Pioneer House.
